Will Washington Capitals Lose at Home Again in Regular Season?

The Washington Capitals have been the best team again in the NHL and are entering critical stretch. It was about this time a year ago, the Caps started losing their edge, which cost them in the playoffs.

www.vegasproinsidersdaily.com When you are used to going to Stanley Cup playoffs and your postseason ticket is already punched, we have seen it often enough where teams lose interest and falter late in the regular season. Often times, these types of clubs needed incentive and Washington just might have some.

The Capitals just set a franchise-record of 14-straight home victories Thursday, giving them the best home record in the league at 26-5-1. With nine home games left, can anyone knock off Washington? When pondering this for NHL picks, this is what the Caps have left at the Verizon Center.

Mar. 4 Flyers

Mar.6  Stars

Mar. 14  Wild

Mar. 16  Predators

Mar.21  Flames

Mar. 23 Blue Jackets

Mar. 25  Coyotes

Apr. 5  Rangers

Apr. 9  Panthers

The first obvious trouble spot also turns out to be Minnesota on the 14th of this month. Based on records, this could be a Stanley Cup Finals preview and as of right now, the Wild is a strong 19-12 SU on the road and could be problematic against the NHL odds.

Later in March, Columbus could also provide a challenge, because they have the offense to roll with Washington. If the Capitals would reach April, one would wonder about resting players for the final two home contests and what would their opponents needs be for the playoffs?

If nothing else, hockey bettors can follow and most likely profit from this.
