LeBron James and his teams have never lost a first round series in 12 tries. Right now it could go either way as Cleveland prepares for Game 7 at home against the Indiana Pacers.
After six games in this Eastern Conference first round series, we do know a couple things. LeBron James is the best player in the series and has literally carried his team to this point. We also know Indiana is the better club despite the series being tied at 3-3, having outscored the Cavaliers by 44 points altogether. In addition, for those making NBA picks, backing the Pacers has been money since they are 4-1-1 ATS.
However, none of that matters now, the winner of Game 7 advances and the loser begins their summer vacation. The NBA odds have Cleveland as a six-point favorite and the total has dipped from 200 to around 198.5, depending on the sportsbook. ABC has this series finale at 1:05 Eastern on Sunday and here is what to look for.
The focal points of this deciding confrontation are James and Victor Oladipo. Each player needs a very big game to help their team and guide them through the rough spots of the contest when it becomes rocky. Unless either or both has a singular remarkable performance, chances are they will require assistance.
