Time to begin a new week of line moves and we have three college basketball games and one in the NBA. Take a minute to review all the betting trends and our free picks (93-77-3 run) to see what we are thinking today. See you back here tomorrow

NBA – (503) ATLANTA at (504) MILWAUKEE  8:05 ET  FSSE, FSWI

A rather fascinating totals move in the NBA tonight. This Eastern Conference conflict is up from 207 to 209.5. The Hawks have flown by the total in their past two games, but are 3-2 UNDER in their last five contests. Milwaukee was on a 9-0 UNDER run before playing Over in Orlando the last time out. The Bucks are a much better defensive team since changing coach’s, using simple principles and I see that holding up again and prefer the UNDER.

Betting Trend – 82% backing Over

Doug’s VPID Take – Play Under

CBB – (519) BOSTON COLLEGE at (520) PITTSBURGH  7:00 ET  ESPNN

Pittsburgh is on a 13-game losing streak, the longest in school history and there is an interesting story about what had happened you can read here. Hoops bettors think so little of the Panthers they have been shoved from +5 to +8 home underdogs against Boston College. Pitt is at least representative with 6-7 ACC spread record, but if they keep playing like they have recently and the Eagles are engaged even for 30 minutes, B.C. should cover.

Betting Trend – 84% backing Boston College

Doug’s VPID Take – Lean Boston College

CBB – (545) OKLAHOMA at (546) TEXAS TECH  7:00 ET  ESPN

Bettors are not buying it. In spite of the average Oklahoma game being 170 total points, the total of tonight’s Sooners at Texas Tech tussle has crashed like a Russian website hack. This Big 12 total slide from 156 to 151, as it has not gone unnoticed Oklahoma has scored 80 or fewer points in four of their past five outings. The Red Raiders have proven to be the best club in the conference and that is largely because of a defense conceding just 65.3 PPG in league play. Last month’s battle in Norman was an easy UNDER, with Oklahoma a 75-65 winner versus a total of 162.5. I’m not sure this will be quite as simple, however, the Sooners are 10-1 UNDER off a road loss against a conference rival.

Betting Trend – 81% backing Under

Doug’s VPID Take – Play Under

CBB – (549) SOUTH CAROLINA at (550) TENNESSEE  9:00 ET  ESPNU

South Carolina has a pretty good defensive team and Tennessee is coming in off a lambasting by Alabama, but the Vols slipping from -13 to -10.5 is perplexing. How so, it starts with Tennessee is home where they average 79.5 PPG and they are not going to shoot 27.6 percent again. The Gamecocks need glasses or shooting lessons, as they are only connecting on 35.8 percent of all attempts in SEC action. Look for the Volunteers to want to beat somebody up in Knoxville and improve to 12-2 ATS at home off an SEC blowout loss by 20 points or more.

Betting Trend – 51% backing Tennessee

Doug’s VPID Take – Tennessee covers

Public Consensus Record (2018) – 51% to 79% – 30-31-2 ATS

Public Consensus Record (2018) – 80% or Higher – 9-14 ATS

Line Movement Direction Record (2018) – 46-38-2 ATS
