Tuesday’s Top Sports Betting Line Moves

College basketball and hockey starts drawing more attention during the week until the bowl season commences. Here is a closer betting view at three hoops Line Moves and one large one on the ice.  Always review the nuggets since they are worth a look.

CBB – (545) VILLANOVA vs. (546) MISSOURI 7:00 EST ESPN

Missouri does not have much size, but thus far in 2011 they have made up for it with speed, quickness and tenacity. The Tigers are scoring 86.3 points per game on 52.5 percent shooting while limiting opponents to 58.4 PPG on 39.2 percent field defense.  Villanova has experienced players like G Maalik Wayns and C Mouphtaou Yarou, yet they have a great deal of youth who give yo-yo performances. Missouri was released as 6.5-point favorite and have bumped up to -8 in the Jimmy V Classic opener. With Nova a dreadful 4-17 ATS after failing to cover the spread since last season, you have to like Misso’s chances.3DW PositionMissouri covers

CBB – (555) IOWA at (556) NORTHERN IOWA 8:00 EST  ESPN3 or Full Court

This is Iowa’s first true road encounter and it is playing in-state partner Northern Iowa. This is always an important game on the Panthers schedule, looking to rub it in against teams like the Hawkeyes, who didn’t deem the Northern Iowa players good enough to play in the Big Ten. Northern Iowa is actually an 8.5-point favorite; however the focus has been on the total, which has shot from 129 to 133. The Hawkeyes are 26-12 OVER as a road underdog of 6.5 to 12 points, while the Panthers are 10-2 UNDER when the total is 130 to 139.5.3DW Position – Play Under

CBB – (563) WASHINGTON vs. (564) MARQUETTE  9:30 EST  ESPN

Marquette ranks in the Top 10 nationally in field-goal percentage (50.9 percent) and points per game (84.1). A good as the offense has been, the Golden Eagles defense is what’s drawing attention to basketball insiders, as Marquette is limiting opponents to an average of 58.7 points on 34.9 shooting, including just 29.9 percent from beyond the arc. Given Washington’s inconsistent performances this season, basketball bettors have repackaged the Huskies from +6 to +8 in the second half the Jimmy V Classic. Marquette is 20-8 ATS away from Milwaukee versus up-tempo teams averaging 62 or more shots a game. 3DW Position One of my plays

NHL – (15) COLORADO at (16) VANCOUVER 10:00 EST  ATL, RSN

Vancouver has won six of seven and is playing back towards the form that had them within one game of being Stanley Cup champions. Hockey bettors are choosing to ignore Colorado’s three-game winning streak and moved the Canucks from -195 to -210 on the money line. This has been done for one simple reason; Vancouver has outscored the Avalanche 48-24 while going 10-0-2 in the series since Nov. 1, 2009. 3DW Position – Vancouver wins
