In addition to the Lines Moves listed below, The Citadel has been lowered two points to +16.5 vs. College of Charleston and Appalachian State is down two digits to -9 vs. UNC- Greensboro. Without question the biggest turn in the totals is Providence vs. South Carolina, which has fallen from 136 to 130.5.  Always review the nuggets since they are worth a look.

CFB – (303) WEST VIRGINIA at (304) SOUTH FLORIDA 8:00 EST  ESPN

West Virginia needs a victory and Cincinnati win and presumably they will have the higher BCS ranking which will give them the BCS berth. Everyone seems to be on board with that premise, as the Mountaineers have been shifted from a Pick to -2.5 at South Florida. The Bulls have collapsed since conference play commenced, but are 4-1 ATS vs. West Virginia. However, cannot ignore USF is 2-10 ATS in home games after the first month of the season the last three seasons. 3DW PositionOne of my Plays

CBB – (543) YOUNGSTOWN STATE at (544) DETROIT 7:00 EST

It’s the Horizon League opener for both teams. Youngstown State has the better record at 4-1, but has beaten mostly mediocre competition, while Detroit at 3-4 and has mixed in some cupcakes with a few more respectable teams. Youngstown has attracted most of the wagering action, heading south from +9.5 to +8, in spite of a 6-15 ATS record after playing a game as a road underdog the last three seasons. Detroit is hardly the real deal with a 19-35 ATS home mark against a team with a winning record. 3DW Position – Detroit lean

    CBB- (551) ST. JOHN’S at (552) KENTUCKY  7:30 EST  ESPN2

Kentucky is back as the top team in the country for the first time since the 2009-10 season and takes on St. John’s in the East/SEC Challenge at Rupp Arena. The Wildcats starting five is made up of three freshmen and two sophomores and goes against all new starters for St. John’s. The oddsmakers sticker price of -23 caused shock and they have been negotiated down to -21.5. Big Blue might be in a good situation since they are 14-3 ATS off a no-cover where they won straight up as a favorite. 3DW PositionSt. John’s covers

    NHL – (65) MONTREAL at (66) SAN JOSE 10:30 EST  RSD,CSCA

Two stumbling teams will collide at the “Shark Tank” in San Jose. Montreal has lost three in a row and the Sharks have dropped a pair, however San Jose has been punched hard on the money line, all the way up to -200 after opening at -168. Though these teams have met infrequently, the Canadiens are 0-4-1 in their last five visits to San Jose since a 3-2 overtime victory in 1999. The Sharks were shutout 2-0 on Monday in Los Angeles and are 10-1 off a road loss by two goals or more. 3DW Position San Jose wins
