Take the Spartans and Badgers in Friday Afternoon Big Ten Battles

The Big Ten quarterfinals get underway with higher seeds Michigan State and Wisconsin having their first taste of action in this tournament.

Michigan State Wears Down Ohio State

Ohio State (19-13 SU, 13-19 ATS) vs. Michigan State (25-6, 22-9 ATS)

Top-seeded Michigan State gets underway in this event and faces No.8 Ohio State. The Spartans have played without two key players for a good chunk of the conference season, but are welcoming back forward Nick Ward. How much Ward will contribute is not known, but coach Tom Izzo will gladly take back his No.2 scorer and No.3 rebounder.

The No. 8 Buckeyes advanced in beating Indiana 79-75 as a 1.5-point underdog. Ohio State benefited from having forward Kaleb Wesson back from a three-game suspension. Though Wesson did not have a great shooting game (5-for-15), he scored 17 points, added 12 rebounds and three blocks for an all-around strong floor game.
