NBA – (717) MIAMI at (718) CHICAGO 8:05 ET ESPN
The Chicago Bulls will continue to be short-handed, as it is becoming ever clearer Luol Deng and Kirk Henrich might not play in this series. Miami showed in Game 2 what they are capable of against the depleted Bulls and this was enough for hoops bettors to turn up the heat on the Heat from -6.5 to -8. Miami will look for a quick start to take the crowd out of the game, since the House that Jordan built goes by the name of ‘Madhouse on Madison’. It is interesting to note Da Bulls are 0-8 ATS at home after two consecutive games as a road underdog, but the scoring margin is only a negative 3.5. S-W Take – Lean with Chicago
NBA – (719) SAN ANTONIO at (720) GOLDEN STATE 10:35 ET ESPN
While coach Mark Jackson’s claim of Golden State having the “greatest scoring backcourt ever” might be a touch premature, there is little doubt the Warriors have controlled the scoreboard if not the outcomes. Golden State has led all but 11 minutes in the first two tilts with San Antonio. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are shooting extremely well and the Warriors are controlling the glass. Playing before an always raucous crowd at the Oracle Arena, the Warriors have been turned up to 2.5-point favorites, from opening number of -1. Golden State players are not lacking in confidence and the Spurs playoff mettle will be tested this weekend. San Antonio’s defense will be key since they are 5-15 ATS versus good shooting teams making 46 percent or more of their shots this season. S-W Take – Golden State covers
Vegas Sports Informer has been smokin’ hot in the NBA Playoffs.
MLB – (955) MILWAUKEE at (956) CINCINNATI 7:10 ET FSWI, FSOH
The Brewers Yovani Gallardo (3-1, 4.50 ERA) has been rounding into form with a 3.16 ERA over his last four starts. However, three of those starts were at Miller Park and Gallardo has an earned run average of 6.00 in two away outings. Lifetime, Milwaukee’s ace has a 4.75 ERA versus Cincinnati, which a contributing factor why the total jumped from 7.5 to 8. Reds rookie pitcher Tony Cingrani (2-0, 2.63) has been scintillating filling in for injured Johnny Cueto and he and his teammates are -145 home favorites. Keep in mind Cincy is 11-2 OVER when the money line is -100 to -150 this season and all seven of Gallardo starts have gone OVER. S-W Take – Lean Over
MLB – (977) OAKLAND at (978) SEATTLE 10:10 ET CSCA, ROOT
The name Hisashi Iwakuma (3-1) might not roll off the lips as one of the best pitchers of 2013, but he unquestionably has been. The Seattle right-hander has an ERA of 1.61 and batters are hitting an afflicted .168 against him. The Mariners have won Iwakuma’s last five starts at Safeco Field dating back to 2012, where he’s registered an ERA like a super thin fashion model of 0.48. In spite of the numbers, Seattle is a sinking favorite, down from -145 to -125 or less. But Oakland has won four in a row in the Northwest and is a sultry 10-2 after seven or more away contests. Just the same, the adjusted number might fit the M’s who are 19-4 at home with a money line of -100 to -125. S-W Take – Seattle wins
Jason Sharpe continues to pile up the victories as a MLB hanicapper.
NHL – (51) TORONTO at (52) BOSTON 7:05 ET CNBC, CBC
Boston has a 3-1 lead in the series as they attempt to put away Toronto and advance to the East semis for the fourth time in five years. The Bruins were gritty in winning Game 4 after trailing 2-0 and know this young Maple Leafs squad will not roll over. Nonetheless, the betting public views Toronto as a speed bump and lifted Boston from -205 to -230. This kind of confidence is easy to comprehend since the Leafs are 0-10 in road affairs after losing their previous game in overtime the last three seasons. S-W Take – Boston wins
