NBA – (805) HOUSTON at (806) BOSTON  7:35 ET   CSH, CSNE

NBA bettors are of the opinion Houston’s 88-79 loss to New Orleans was a fluke and has raised the total from 200.5 to 202 in Bean-Town tonight. The Rockets are the top scoring team in the NBA (106 PPG) and the 28th ranked defensive team, allowing 103.2 PPG. The thought here is Houston can dictate tempo, however, they are 20-9 UNDER when the total is 200 to 209.5 since last season. Nonetheless, Boston is 23-10 OVER off a no-cover straight up win as a favorite. S-W Take – Lean Over

NBA – (811) MINNESOTA at (812) NEW ORLEANS  8:05 ET   FSNO, FSN

New Orleans has won and covered three in a row by playing superior defense (87.7 PPG) and with Minnesota struggling on offense; basketball bettors are seeing one-way action. The total on this Western Conference clash has cascaded from 185 to 182.5. The Hornets come into this contest 14-4 UNDER at home after one or more victories, while the Timberwolves are 9-1 UNDER off a road loss. S-W Take – Play Under

NBA – (813) CHICAGO at (814) NEW YORK  8:05 ET  ESPN

Normally, one might think the return of Carmelo Anthony would be a viewed as a positive, but not to those betting on basketball. Anthony returns from a one-game suspension and his club had gone from a 5.5-point home favorite to four. Chicago has won six of seven over the Knickerbockers (4-3 ATS) and is an amazing 10-1 ATS on the road Friday evenings. Still, hard to look past the Knicks who are 16-4 ATS as a home favorite of 3.5 to 6 points. S-W Take – New York covers

NBA – (821) OKLAHOMA CITY at (822) L.A. LAKERS  10:35 ET  ESPN

Four of the last six meetings between these clubs in La-La Land have gone past the oddsmakers figure and with the Lakers lacking the manpower to appreciably slow down the Oklahoma City, the total leaped from 215 to 217. LA/1 is 16-2 OVER off by six or less points and the Thunder fit this system. – Play OVER on road teams when the total is 200 or higher, off a home blowout win by 20 points or more, against opponent after a road game where both teams score 100 or more points. (41-12 since L17Y) S-W Take – Lean Under

CBB – (833) FAIRFIELD at (834) LOYOLA-MD  7:00 ET  ESPNU

Fairfield had their six-game winning streak snapped at Niagara 71-67 despite shooting 52.8 percent, but were done in by committing 21 turnovers. Loyola-MD on the other hand has taken its previous two MAAC contests to move to 11-5 (5-4-1 ATS) and has been bumped from -2 to -3.5-point fave. With the Geyhounds playing on their home court, there sticky defense (39.9 percent allowed) should slow down the Stags, who are 0-6 ATS after three consecutive road games. S-W Take – Loyola-MD covers
