NBA – (503) PORTLAND at (504) NEW YORK  7:35 ET  CSNW, MSG

We are all familiar with the exploits of Stephen Curry, who continues to justifiably dominate the basketball headlines. However, if you are missing out on what Damian Lilliard is doing for Portland, than you need to pay attention. The Trail Blazers guard has scored at least 30 points in seven of his past eight games for 33.3 points a contest during this blazing stretch. Thought to be a great Under play for season win totals back in October, Portland has won 17 of 21 (15-6 ATS) and has been pushed from -4 to -5.5 at New York. Another such performance over the hapless Knicks would garner national attention for Lillard and his team, who tries to reach 20-6 ATS off an upset win as a road underdog the last three seasons.

Betting Trend – 88% backing Portland

Doug’s VPID Take – Lean Portland

NBA – (507) ORLANDO at (508) DALLAS  8:35 ET  FSFL, FSSW

Not sure what total the oddsmakers could have used to prevent this total from going up. Most sportsbooks started at 212 and the most common number found since is 214 for this encounter. Why I say there might not be a ceiling on the total is because of how Orlando and Dallas are playing. In the Magic’s past six games, the average total score has been 225.5 points and for the Mavericks in their last seven contests, it has been even higher at 228. Though there is nothing in any recent games to suggest they could reach such a figure, with the lack of defense and offensive mindsets, it sure seems the Cuban’s could go to 9-0 OVER at home after playing three consecutive home games.

Betting Trend – 83% backing Over

CBB – (527) DEPAUL at (528) VILLANOVA  7:00 ET  FS1

www.vegasproinsidersdaily.comHaving locked up the Big East’s No. 1 seed, Villanova can now focus on earning one for the NCAA Tournament facing DePaul this evening. The Wildcats are chalky -23.5 point favorites, but it is there defense which is attracting the attention for the contest. With Villanova allowing just 60.1 PPG at home, the total has slipped from 144 to 140.5. The Blue Demons have their own demons when it comes to scoring away from home at 66.4 PPG and they have only rung up 60.4 PPG in last five meetings with Nova. However, Villanova is in good shape to win the game and may lack usual defensive intensity. With DePaul having lost be 21 at Providence Saturday, they are 11-2 OVER after a blowout loss by 20 points or more the last three seasons.

Betting Trend – 52% backing Under

Doug’s VPID Take – Play Over

CBB – (533) DAYTON at (534) RICHMOND 7:00 ET  CBSSN

Coming off a stunning home loss to Rhode Island in which they were never in the game, Dayton sits a game back of the leaders in the A-10. They travel to Richmond intent on putting that loss behind them and they have drawn support to accomplish this. The Flyers opened as a Pick and are now up to -1.5. This would appear dicey for Dayton who is on a 0-6 STS spiral and who is 2-7 and 3-5-1 ATS at Richmond. While we agree the Flyers are the better team, teams that have similar line movement off a loss and facing opponent off a victory and are on the road, are 31-53 ATS of late.

Betting Trend – 90% backing Dayton

Doug’s VPID Take – Lean Richmond
