The All-Star break brought change for Arizona and Chicago, as the Diamondbacks fell out of first place while the Cubs moved into to the top spot in their division. What happens next for both clubs?
Arizona hits the road for a seven-game road trip after losing home series to Colorado and will play four times at Wrigley Field this week. The Cubs just won their five-game series against rival St. Louis and will be pleased to see Matt Carpenter leave the Windy City and continues their nine-game homestand against the D-Backs.
As we went to post there were no MLB odds on this contest, with the Cubs having not announced their starting pitcher. MLB.com had posted the name Luke Farrell as the “probable” starter for Chicago.
This matchup will be on ESPN at 8:05 Eastern.
