A rather thin day for line moves with so many day games, thus we will also look at the opener in the CFL in which the point spread has been adjusted. Take a minute to review all the betting trends and our free picks (158-113, 58.4%), to see what we are thinking. See you back here tomorrow.
MLB – (955) ARIZONA at (956) COLORADO 3:10 ET FSAZ
The series winner is on the line for two teams that were thought to be improved, but instead have show they will be strong factors in the National League all season. Colorado was a -130 favorite to take Game 3, but they have steadily come down to -115 or less depending on the sportsbook. Antonio Senzatela (9-2, 4.10 ERA) has an excellent record, but is showing signs of fraying with a 6.61 ERA in his last three starts and being taken deep six times. Arizona counters with Zack Godley (2-1, 2.34). This is extremely tough call and I will just the slightest lean with the Snakes because I prefer their pitching overall.
Betting Trend – 93% backing Colorado
Doug’s VPID Take – Slight lean Arizona

MLB – (969) CLEVELAND at (970) BALTIMORE 7:05 ET STO, MASN
In Mike Clevinger’s (2-3, 3.89) and Wade Miley’s (3-4, 4.29) past three starts, they have ERA’s of 5.52 and 12.65 respectively and the total has climbed from 10 to 10.5 because of it. That is in direction opposition to how the these teams have recently played at Camden Yards, where the UNDER 7-1-1. In these teams last seven contests, they have scored a collective total of 12.1 RPG, yet I found Cleveland is 8-0 UNDER having won four of their last five games and will lean that direction.
Betting Trend – 79% backing Over
Doug’s VPID Take – Lean Under
CFL – (351) SASKATCHEWAN at (352) MONTREAL 7:30 ET ESPNN
It is the first battle of a new CFL season and Montreal has been bet up from -6.5 to -7.5. Both clubs are coming off losing seasons and are desperate to start out on the right foot. Though the Alouettes have dominated Saskatchewan at home with an 18-4 SU record, they are only 10-12 ATS in those contests. I have an underdog system in the CFL relating to teams that have had weak pass defenses and squads like the Roughriders are 24-5 ATS in this situation, winning by 2.5 PPG.
Betting Trend – 55% backing Saskatchewan
Doug’s VPID Take – Saskatchewan covers
Public Consensus Record (2017) – 51% to 79% – 131-141-8 ATS
Public Consensus Record (2017) – 80% or Higher – 86-75-3 ATS
