NBA – (505) ATLANTA at (506) MIAMI 7:35 ET FSSO, SUN
Despite having more than the usual slew of injuries, somehow Miami has managed to not only win eight straight games, they have covered them all! Bettors are definitely paying attention have warmed up to the Heat in flipping them from +1 to -1 against Atlanta. Center Hassan Whiteside said the team has bonded. “I love these guys,” he said. “They care about winning. We’re building habits. It’s not about having big stats. We keep saying ‘winning plays’.” The Hawks have won 13 of 17 (10-7 ATS), but it is hard not to ride a streak like this until is it broken.

Doug’s VPID Take – Lean Miami
NBA – (509) NEW ORLEANS at (510) DETROIT 7:35 ET FSNO, FSDT
Detroit’s latest losing streak has reached three games, yet those betting basketball like the Pistons chances tonight versus New Orleans and have pushed them from -5 to -7. The Pelicans are not exactly flying high, losers of six of nine (5-4 ATS) and they will play nine of their next 12 contests on the road, where they have dreadful 6-16 (10-11-1 ATS) away mark. Personally, not high on Detroit here, but with the total 211.5, have to acknowledge the Pistons are 17-5 ATS at home when the total is 210 or higher.
Betting Trend – 54% backing Detroit
Doug’s VPID Take – Lean Detroit

CBB – (529) MARQUETTE at (530) ST. JOHN’S 7:00 ET FS2
Been wracking my brain to understand why this total would fall like an anvil from 170 to 164. Offensively, both are capable of putting up big numbers and they make a nine or more 3’s a game. On defense, let’s just say Marquette or St. John’s will not have any individual members on the Big East’s all defensive teams. In crunching the numbers, I kept coming up with 164 to 166 and realized whoever helped reshape the line was probably correct and this could well have been an oddsmakers error.
Betting Trend – 96% backing Over
Doug’s VPID Take – Lean Over
CBB – (541) GEORGIA TECH at (542) CLEMSON 7:00 ET ACCN
Georgia Tech has four upset wins against Top 25 teams, yet they are a growing underdog at Clemson, who is 1-6 SU and ATS of late? That is correct, the Yellow Jackets are up two points to +10.5 against the Tigers. The Techsters have covered six in a row, which include three on the ACC road and are playing tremendous defense. The Jackets have already whipped Clemson 75-63 as 10-point home underdogs, so why such a high number? Because this seems so obvious, dropping this to a lean, because it should not be this easy.
Betting Trend – 67% backing Georgia Tech
