What I’m letting you know today: I have no real problem with Cole Hamels plunking 19-year old Bryce Harper from Washington if that is what he chooses. His team had lost first two games to Washington and was about to salvage one from the series. What I don’t understand is why Hamels had to say he did so purposely.
That just opens up a can of worms and then Nats GM Mike Rizzo goes on the attack calling Hamels “fake tough”. Hamels said he wanted to go old school, which means do the deed and shut-up and Rizzo should have been smarter to thank the Phillies lefty that he has enough respect for Washington to hit one of their players. I even agree with Colin Cowherd. (Something must be wrong) What do you think about this?
Jayson Werth breaks wrist and is out indefinitely for the Nats.
