Free Picks and Predictions on Line Moves for March 5

For line moves on Tuesday, it is all about the NBA and MACtion. Take a minute to review all the betting trends, our free picks and predictions (56-48-2 in 2019) to see what we are thinking about today. See you back here tomorrow.

This total leaping from 221 to 223.5 is rather fascinating. When you think of Philadelphia, your mind sees points and a lot of them. That is partially why the total increased, as there last three games have seen totals of 238 to 240. With Orlando, that is not the same feeling, as the average score of their contests this season has been about 211 points and they are on a 4-1 UNDER move. Though I could definitely could see a lower score than the adjusted total, four of the last five matchups in Philly have gone OVER and 7 of 9 overall. I’ll side with the line movement.

Doug’s VPID Take – Lean Over

NBA – (517) CHICAGO at (518) INDIANA  7:05 ET  WGN, FSIN

With the Bulls playing about as well as they have all season on a 5-2 SU and ATS move and the Pacers 1-3 SU and ATS in recent days, Indiana is down two points as a favorite to -6.5. While a case could be made for Chicago as a road team since they have a 17-13-2 ATS record, the Pacers are 13-2 ATS at home having lost three of their last four games and finish this off in close one against the number.

Betting Trend – 54% backing Chicago

Doug’s VPID Take – Lean Indiana

CBB – (611) KENT STATE at (612) MIAMI-0 7:00 ET  ESPN+

The totals on both are MAC matchups have blown up. The game in Miami-Ohio is up four digits to 144, which is almost exactly what each squad has averaged in their last five games. There earlier game went Under 139.5, as Kent State won at home 70-67. I see value in going under with Golden Flashes 7-0 UNDER in road games off a road loss and the Redhawks 11-3 UNDER revenging a same season loss.

Betting Trend – 88% backing Over

Doug’s VPID Take – Play Under

CBB  – (613) BUFFALO at (614) OHIO U.  7:00 ET  ESPN+

With Buffalo averaging better than 85 PPG, the first thought of any Bulls game on the total is higher scoring. Buffalo has scored over triple digits in their last two games against Ohio U., including 114 two weeks ago at home. But Buffalo has played three consecutive Under as teams have been hell-bent on slowing the Bulls down. In addition, coach Nate Oats wants to make sure his team is ready for the tournaments and has stressed defense and in their last four contests, the visitor has only allowed 64.2 PPG, six points below their season average. The total has blown up from 154.5 to 159.5 and I’ll go lower, not convinced the Bobcats could compete in a high-scoring affair.

Betting Trend – 86% backing Under

Doug’s VPID Take – Play Under
