Line moves are back after a couple weeks off because of workload and tonight we have NBA and college basketball to talk about. Take a minute to review all the betting trends, our free picks and predictions (41-35-1 since Dec. 1) to see what we are thinking today. See you back here tomorrow.

NBA – (523) MILWAUKEE at (524) HOUSTON  8:05 ET  ESPN

With ESPN heavily promoting Giannis Antetokounmpo and Fear The Deer the last week, basketball bettors have followed along and moved the Bucks from +1 to -1.5 over Houston. Both teams have been blistering hot for an extended stretch, but hard to go against Houston and James Harden at the moment since they are 8-1 ATS at home after a game where they covered the spread this season.

Betting Trend – 72% backing Houston

Doug’s VPID Take – Houston covers

NBA – (535) DETROIT at (536) L.A. LAKERS 10:35 ET  ESPN

With the Lakers having shot just over 44 percent in their last six contests without LeBron James and Detroit averaging under a 100 points in their last nine outings, the total in this tilt is down three points to 215. I will agree with since the Pistons are 16-7 UNDER against teams averaging 88 or more shots a game and L.A. is 7-0 UNDER when playing eight or more games in 14 days this season.

Betting Trend – 52% backing Over

Doug’s VPID Take – Play Under

CBB – (815) CLEMSON at (816) SYRACUSE  8:00 ET  ACCN

Clemson relies on taking good shots and connects on over 48 percent of them while being a good rebounding team at the same time. Syracuse doesn’t shoot well, but its tenacious 2-3 zone is as tough as ever and they get just enough offense to keep winning. Hoops bettors are not sold on the Orange having a great advantage at the Carrier Dome over the Tigers and have lowered the ‘Cuse from -5 to -3. Look for the Syracuse zone to give Clemson too much trouble and the Tigers slip to 1-10 ATS in January road games.

Betting Trend – 81% backing Syracuse

Doug’s VPID Take – Syracuse covers

CBB – (845) CS-FULLERTON at (846) HAWAI’I 11:59 ET  Spectrum

Though Fullerton has played a somewhat tougher schedule than Hawai’i, the money is following the Rainbow Warriors, with them up from -1 to -3.5. This could be why; the Titans are 1-9 and 3-7 ATS on the road, losing by 8.2 PPG. Hawai’i on the other hand 8-2 and 5-2 ATS at home, winning by nearly 10 PPG. With CS-Fullerton only 5-14 ATS in road games having lost four of their last five, take the team from the Islands.

Betting Trend – 92% backing Hawai’i

Doug’s VPID Take – Hawai’i covers
