MLB – (953) PHILADELPHIA at (954) MIAMI  7:10 ET  FSFL, WCAU

It does seem a wee bit crazy the total on this NL East encounter would go from 7.5 to 8.5. It starts with Miami back home after scoring once in being swept in a three-game series at Cincinnati and is only averaging 2.6 RPG. But, both bullpens have an ERA close to or over 5.5 which could offset the fine early pitching by starters Sandy Alcantara (1-0, 1.50 ERA) and Philadelphia’s Jake Arrieta (1-1, 2.77). I’m going to agree with since the OVER is 36-9 when a team like Miami draws three walks or less a game, after three straight contests where they had five or fewer hits.

Betting Trend – 55% backing Under

MLB – (961) COLORADO at (962) SAN FRANCISCO  10:15 ET  ATTRM, CSBA (side and total)

With inconsistent Jon Gray and Jeff Samardjiza starting last night, the last thing anyone would have thought is a 1-0 outcome. Yet, that is what happened with the Giants winning and today they have been pushed from -120 to -145 over seriously slumping Colorado. The Rockies have lost six straight and 10 of 11 and tonight they trot out Chad Bettis (0-2, 11.88), who’s been abysmal. The Giants counter with Drew Pomeranz (0-1, 4.00) and they are actually scoring less than Colorado (2.8 vs. 2.9 RPG). The Rocks will win eventually, just not tonight and I disagree with the total going up from 7.5 to 8, with these teams 14-5 UNDER in Frisco.

Betting Trend – 63% backing San Francisco, 55% on Over

MLB – (969) OAKLAND at (970) TEXAS  8:05 ET  CSCA, FSSW

Oakland’s mashing and Texas can really score at home and with this news, the total is up a full run from 10 to 11. Neither Mike Fiers (5.94) or Drew Smyly (7.11) is on fire or making backers happy. Fiers is 21-8 OVER on the road with a money line of -100 to -150 and the Rangers are 14-4 OVER at home after batting .225 or worse over a 5-game span.

NBA  – Saturday –  (503) ORLANDO at (504) TORONTO  5:30 ET  ESPN

The total in the second game on Saturday has dipped three points to 213. This season the teams were 3-1 Under, with totals ranging from 207 to 218.5. Though the defense is expected to pick up come playoff time, Orlando has played seven OVER’s in a row and Toronto has no problem playing faster. Given the spread of around, let’s go OVER with the Raptors a 113-105 winner.

Betting Trend – 83% backing Over

NBA  – Sunday – (517) UTAH at (518) HOUSTON  9:30 ET  TNT

We could be looking at an oddsmaker error with the release of 219 in this Western Conference matchup. Bettors have shaved five points off the original number and it is now down to 214. Three of the four outcomes have been UNDER’s this season and only because Houston put up 125 on the scoreboard in the last contest did we see a higher score. In each game this season, one team failed to reach 100 points and I’ll say that continues with the Rockets 26-12 UNDER at home in the first round of the playoffs.

Betting Trend – 70% backing Over
