NBA – (533) PORTLAND at (534) GOLDEN STATE 9:00 ET ESPN
No Kevin Durant, no problem, at least when it comes to points in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. Oddsmakers sent this lid-lifter out at 218 and by Tuesday afternoon it was up to 220.5. That is hard to argue with as Portland is15-5 OVER when playing against a good team (Win Pct. 60% to 70%) in the second half of the season the past two years and Golden State 21-8 OVER as a #1 seed in the playoffs.
Betting Trend – 73% backing Over
Doug’s VPID Take – Play Over
MLB – (951) CHICAGO CUBS at (952) CINCINNATI 6:40 ET CSCH, FSOH
After a laboring start, the Cubs have won 12 of 14, with exceptional hitting and pitching carrying them. Despite this, Chicago is down 20 cents to -110 road favorites over Cincinnati. The Reds are above .500 in their last 32 games after a 1-8 start. Starter Tanner Roark (3-1, 3.27 ERA) has thrown well and has only allow five runs in three starts against the Cubs covering 20 innings. After a brutal start, Kyle Hendricks (2-4, 3.19) has returned to form but remains 0-3, with a 8.59 ERA in three road starts. With Chicago 3-11 after allowing one run or less in two straight games, Cincy has a shot.
Betting Trend – 78% backing Chicago
Doug’s VPID Take – Lean Cincinnati

MLB – (953) MILWAUKEE at (954) PHILADELPHIA 7:05 ET FSWI, CSP
Philadelphia engineered a come from behind win over Milwaukee last night, sending them to a third straight defeat. Those betting baseball are undeterred and flipped the Brewers from +115 to -113 away favorites. The Crew will start Brandon Woodruff who is 5-1 with a 4.25 ERA in eight starts this season. He has allowed just three earned runs over the last 16 innings in three previous starts. The Phillies will counter with Jerad Eickhoff (2-1, 1.50) who’s been outstanding, but he’s facing a Brewers club that is 20-6 after scoring four runs or less in three straight games and is 22-8 vs. a starting pitcher whose gives up 0.5 or less homers a start.
Betting Trend – 61% backing Philadelphia
Doug’s VPID Take – Milwaukee wins
MLB – (975) TAMPA BAY at (976) MIAMI 7:10 ET FSSUN, FSFL (side and total)
It’s the Sunshine State showdown on the diamond. Tampa Bay has the 5th-best record in baseball, while Miami is dead last record-wise, yet the Marlins have slide from +135 to +120 home underdogs. The reason is starting pitcher Caleb Smith who is 3-0 (Marlins 4-3) with a 2.11 ERA and 11.8 strikeouts per nine innings. Smith has provided them a chance and Miami will see the Rays Charlie Morton is also 3-0 with a 2.64 ERA this season. In addition, the total has also crumbled from 7 to 6.5, not only because of the starting hurlers, but because the Fish are scoring a dismal 3.2 RPG in May. Definitely like the UNDER and think Tampa Bay will do business against Miami’s 27th rated bullpen late for the W.
Betting Trend – 90% backing Tampa Bay, 67% on Over
