Classic ACC Matchup

North Carolina at Duke

9:00ET, ESPN Line – Duke -10, 155

North Carolina will need huge game from Tyler Zeller to upset Duke on the road.

North Carolina (17-5, 10-9 ATS) isn’t going to win a national championship this season; however they are continuing to make strides of improvement and have moved into contention in the ACC. Where the Tar Heels are getting better is in the backcourt. If freshman Kendall Marshall continues his steady play and sophomore Leslie McDonald keeps finding the range from the perimeter, this could take the pressure off the inside game. Forward Tyler Zeller is the steadiest player in Carolina blue and freshman Harrison Barnes continues to come thru in the clutch. The Tar Heels are 2-8 ATS in road games off an ACC home win.

Coach Mike Krzyzewski has been talking about his squad being behind schedule, since the loss Kyrie Irving, but feels his Duke bunch is coming together. What has made Coach K more confident is transfer Seth Curry finding his identity. Curry was a well-known shooter, yet it has been his other contributions as a playmaker and help defender that has really made the Blue Devils (21-2, 12-10 ATS) more solid in the backcourt. Duke is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a winning percentage higher than .600.

Always one of the great rivalries in college basketball, North Carolina is 10-3 ATS in Durham with five victories.
