On the day after Christmas, the bowl game intensity starts to pick and we have three games to really kickoff – Bowl Week. The first will be the Heart of Dallas Bowl, which is will be played for the eight time already.
Utah got off to a fine start this season with a 4-0 mark, but lost quarterback Tyler Hundley for an extended period and the Utes took a nosedive in losing four in a row. Once Hundley returned, he was not the same fearless dual-threat player and Utah finished 6-6, though was a sharp 8-3-1 ATS.
West Virginia was lurking just behind the hierarchy of the Big 12 at 7-3, but an injury-plagued roster lost at home to Texas and Oklahoma destroyed them to close the regular season. The Sooners setback was especially costly for this bowl game with starting quarterback Will Grier out with a gruesome hand injury.
