Houston did not play their best but it was still good enough to handle Minnesota in five games. Utah, on the other hand, was one of two lower seeds to engineer a series upset in the Western Conference by defeating Oklahoma City in six games.
For the Jazz, this series becomes far more difficult and that is shown in the series odds. Utah is a +925 underdog to defeat Houston four times in seven games. Conversely, there is little reason to back the Rockets, since you have to wager $14,000 to have a chance to win a $1,000. This is not boxing where one lucky punch can make the underdog a winner and despite Utah’s tremendous defense, as you can see next, they have not had any answers for top-seeded Houston.
