Baltimore General Manager Ozzie Newsome is retiring after this season and he might not be the only one leaving if the Ravens fail to reach the postseason for a fourth consecutive season.
After beating Indianapolis in Week 16, all Baltimore had to do was defeat Cincinnati as eight-point home favorites to return to the playoffs after two-year sabbatical. Instead, the Ravens came out flat and lost 31-27, extending postseason drought to three seasons. With GM Ozzie Newsome leaving, coach John Harbaugh needs to make the playoffs in order to avoid going out the door with him.
This is a critical year for this franchise and Joe Flacco has been placed on notice that running the 27th ranked offense is not good enough anymore. Baltimore had two No.1 picks and one was used to help Flacco in TE Hayden Hunt and the other was to alarm him in Heisman quarterback Lamar Jackson.

The passing game has been completely overhauled and Flacco understands what he needs to as he needs as he said, “win”. But he and his teammates need to do so impressively, after being a pedestrian 20-23-5 ATS the past three years.
5Dimes has them well behind Pittsburgh in the AFC North and a nonfactor according to the NFL odds in their conference.
Odds to Win AFC North – +470 – 2nd
Odds to Win the AFC – +2000 – 10th
Baltimore’s projected win total is hardly inspiring and that is partly because they will be on the road four times in five games in Week’s 2-6 and visitors in three of their first four December outings.
