NBA – (705) MEMPHIS at (706) OKLAHOMA CITY 8:05 ESPN
It is a given those making NBA picks on total are going to gravitate towards the UNDER with almost any Memphis game, as they are one of only two teams to score and allow less than 100 points a game. (Utah is the other) However, the total sinking on this ESPN encounter from 205 to 203 is not all on the Grizzles as the sportsbooks have them figured out with 20-20 totals record. Despite Russell Westbrook’s exploits, Oklahoma City is 23-15-1 UNDER this season, which really explains the drop and could be sharp betting action, based on betting trend. While we understand the thinking, the Grizz are 14-5 OVER on the road this season.

Doug’s VPID Take – Lean Over
CBB – (727) MINNESOTA at (728) MICHIGAN STATE 7:00 ET BTN
With today’s scheduling, you do not find many quick turnarounds in college basketball, but these Big Ten combatants are meeting for the second time in 15 days. The total is attracting the action, down two points to 137, in spite of Michigan State a 75-74 winner in Minnesota. Those betting basketball are thinking that was outlier performance, especially when you consider 11 of past 14 contests in East Lansing have been UNDER’s. With both teams preferring to push the pace, not sure this stays under 140.
Betting Trend – 78% backing Under

CBB – (759) BUTLER at (760) CREIGHTON 9:00 ET FS1
Butler has already beaten a number of Top 25 teams this season, including then No.1 Villanova last week. They get a shot at another taking on No. 8 Creighton. This is the Bluejays loftiest ranking ever and they have the support of basketball bettors, pushed from -4 to -5.5 point favorites. Creighton will score points as they average 87.5 PPG, but will the Bluejays be able to handle a more physical and crafty offensive squad like the Bulldogs? Creighton might be 13-3 ATS as a favorite, however, Butler is 7-1 ATS when playing against a team with a winning record.
Betting Trend – 76% backing Creighton
Doug’s VPID Take – Lean Butler
CBB – (765) IOWA STATE at (766) OKLAHOMA STATE 9:00 ET ESPNU
Oklahoma State made a coaching change to revive the basketball program and so far the results have been putrid in Big 12 action. The Cowboys will be trying to avoid 0-4 start in conference play under new coach Brad Underwood. Okie State is not getting it done on the defensive end as opposing teams are connecting on 46.5 percent of shot attempts. Oklahoma State has been elevated from a Pick to -3 and if they are to cover, the Cowboys cannot continue to have more turnovers than they create. When looking at total (159.5), it appears 81 is key number, with Iowa State 4-14 ATS when they give up that many or more points and Oklahoma State 7-0 ATS when they reach or break that barrier.
Betting Trend – 68% backing Oklahoma State
Doug’s VPID Take – Lean Oklahoma State
