Talked to a good friend who works at Las Vegas sportsbook and he told me the handle for betting NFL football is up again at his location and the NFL teasers cards are more popular than ever.
Betting teasers is not about just trying to get an edge on a particular team, it is finding the right key numbers where many game outcomes land and being in the correct position against the NFL odds. For example, we want to pass thru keys numbers of 7, 6 and 3 and place you in more advantageous position.
With this increased popularity, whether it is in Vegas or at all A-rated offshore sportsbooks (check out SportsbookReview.com for latest books ratings) like Intertops, nearly all offer awesome payouts on teasers. There are many ways to bet these for NFL picks and I prefer to keep it to no more than four choices and as low as two.
Thus far, 4-1 on four-team teasers and have yet to lose any combination of two or three-team teasers.
The Vikings are the NFL’s lone undefeated team and head to Philadelphia off a bye and take on Eagles team off a pair of losses. Some will use the due factor for Philly at home, but I’m not seeing it with how Minnesota can exploit weakened Eagles offensive line. With the Vikings at -2.5 on the spread, we can climb past a key number like 3 and catch the half point hook. With Minny 19-3 ATS and winning by 5.2 point per game in this stretch, really like them here.
Your average New Orleans total score has been over 64 points this season, however, they are facing a Kansas City team that can play keep away with the football by running and utilizing the short passing game. It is well documented Drew Brees and Saints are not the same team in the great outdoors and have a harder time scoring. I like this for an UNDER at the sportsbooks regular number of 50.5 and love getting six extra digits.
Washington is so hot right now, nobody is complaining about their nickname. The Redskins are on 4-0 SU and ATS and opened at +1 at Detroit. Being able to play a simmering squad and blow by a 3, 6 and have a Push at 7 (must have at least three-teamer to still win a Push) is a real plus. Now let’s consider when the line is +3 to -3 and a team scoring 23-27 PPG is off two or more OVER’s, facing a club that allows 23-27 PPG, they are 3-11 ATS, losing by 4.3 points a contest.
Some might find this a bit loony, but hear me out. Buffalo has been has been crazy good the last month at 4-0 SU and ATS. But history has the Bills at 5-15 ATS on the standard spread off four or more regular victories. At current level of +3, we jump over the 6 and 7 for this teaser with the Dolphins, who have to be as confident as they have been all season after upset of Pittsburgh. My game simulator has this Miami winning by anywhere from one point to losing by three, making this play.
